SATW has introduced a new award to strengthen the militia system and recognise exceptional achievements. Individual members, contributors to SATW committees (Scientific Advisory Board, thematic platforms) and experts are eligible. Candidates are proposed by the SATW office and nominated by the Executive Board. The Outstanding Achievement Award will be announced at the General Assembly.

Markus Fischer receives the award in recognition of his great commitment to the ICT topic platform and for his active support on the topic of big data and health
Adrian Ionescu receives the award in recognition of his tireless efforts as project manager of the Technology Outlook and the successful completion of the report.
Giovanni Zamboni receives the award in recognition of his many years of commitment and successful work in promoting young talent in the field of technical sciences in Ticino.
